How can we rage?
We—who are blown hopelessly along on the winds of destruction?
To my left is my betrayer—to my right—is my bride of scorn!
I am alone.
—Without the joys of Hope.
—And my heart beats heavy within my breast
I feel so worn!
I look upon those—who look just like me…
They claim fame and notoriety…
They are foolish—and are scattered like so many lost sheep!
They voice their anger!
They are loud and proud!
They lash out in hatred!
They show no love.
—But they desire equality, and denounce trust!
They heed lies and are easily deceived!
They bring forth only grief.
Who are we—that darken the hopes of men without knowledge?
Our anger begets Frustration, and Frustration begets Rage!
She comes to us in the turmoil of our hearts…
We Listen. We lie to ourselves, and give birth to Deception.
We once knew the truth, but sold our souls—that we might obtain a form of prosperity that binds us in chains!
How can we rage and desire to be free?
Is not life built upon the foundations of hope—the joy of living out one’s dreams?
We rage; because—we lack knowledge, and give place to Fear…
We long…
—And cease to be warned—as our destruction draws near...!
How can we rage—when all men seek out evil and discourage the truth?
We steal! We Kill! —All in a fruitless effort to restore our destroyed youth…
Who are we...?
—That blindly binds; blood and stone…
—Who worship the strong…!
Knowing… that we are weak?
No empathy. No Caring. No understanding.
In the silence of the night, we can find no peace!
Who are we that say, “I cannot believe.”
When Destruction is all that we can conceive!
We are forlorn naives!
We learn nothing from our mistakes!
We seek out no truth!
We love—that which is fake!
We are miserable.
We strive to remain alone.
We take our hatred to our graves!
Knowing the truth of these things….
Once again—I ask, “ How can we rage?”
